I’m glad 2013 is behind us now. It was a really rough year
for a lot of people. I can’t wait to get this year started with good times and
great people. Nicole and I plan to get our ears pierced soon. I’m finally going
to fire a gun and a number of other things for my challenge. I’m excited!
Corey and I hosted
New Year celebrations at our house and laughed until our sides hurt playing
games like Taboo, Cards against Humanity and Things. As usual there was way too
much food but that’s ok. Our friends seemed to enjoy themselves and we finally
crashed at about 2:30am.
The next morning I woke Spenny and Corey up and we
participated in the Slush Bowl Paintball tournament. It was a ton of fun but you
could tell that many people were a little slow due to the previous night’s
celebrations. It took a few rounds for
me to get into it and I missed two very easy kills due to not knowing if they
were on my team or not but I loved it. I was the last one on my team in the
city field and shot down two guys before being taken out by three! I also shot
a guy right in the butt (woops!), and helped clear out a raid of a couple guys.
Yay team! My shoulder is nicely welted from being taken out after being the
last team member on the field and my body is pretty sore but I had a great time
and ended up passing out in the truck on the drive home. Getting up this morning
was hard (even after sleeping 11 hours!!) I did it. I survived 2013. Let the
year commence!
