Good morning, Tuesday.
I woke up on time today. My first of three alarms started
blaring at 5:32. I never set my alarms to round number. Never 5:00 never 8:30.
I always try to squeeze in an extra minute or two. It’s like treating myself to
a few more moments of ‘sleeping in’.
I feel like I’ve fallen under a negativity spell the past
little while. People around me have been so negative and I just turn into a
mirror and seem to reflect it all back. Whine, complain, moan. I don’t want to
be like that (Which is hard to accomplish when you’re sick!) so I’m trying to
block out everyone’s negativity and take a few moments for myself. I take too
much to heart and let other people’s emotions consume me so readily that I
sometimes don’t know what I’m unhappy about until I realize that it’s other
people’s problems! Breath in. Be happy!
Speaking of happy, my boyfriend has been off work due to an
injury. While that itself isn’t a good thing, we have been enjoying time
together immensely. During this down time we’ve been working on our website
together, learning bits of code and how to use Wordpress. It’s challenging but
when we work together everything seems so much easier. Go team!
After I got off work yesterday, the two of us zipped off to
Rickies and had a nice little date. The restaurant was pretty dead and we were
the only ones in our section. It was fun to whisper back and forth even though
no one was around to hear us. We spoke about the first time we exchanged the
words ‘I love you.’ And reminisced our experiences at Grad and laughed at all
the little things we used to do early on in our relationship. I love reliving
those memories. They bring such a smile to not only my face but his. Our
conversation swung to the future and we excitedly spoke about our website and
what else we would do to make our goals even closer. I love how excited he
gets. His enthusiasm really gets me motivated.
Our Rickies date turned into a dollarstore shop followed by
a trip out to the whiterock Walmart. Why oh why did I drive to THAT Walmart?
The fields and scenery where beautiful out that way but good god, people see
snow on the roads and throw their car into a crawl. Having people slow to
almost a stop in front of you when you’re on a super steep, icy hill isn’t the
best scenario but we eventually made it and got Corey his kneebrace. Poor guy.
On our way home we stopped at my parents house and talked
about Mexico. Did I mention we’re going? Hell yeah! We’re so stoked it’s mind
blowing. Pender in July, Mexico in December. It’s going to be a great year. I
can’t wait.
