One Year Of Blogs

Well, Hello blog.

I haven’t really gotten a chance to write here for a while.  It’s been almost a month since I had an actually blog post that wasn’t me having temporary memory loss. I also passed my one year anniversary of blog writing on May 2nd. Yay, go me. I failed to follow through with a number of projects on here but they were tons of fun while I kept at it.
Sooo….what’s new? Corey finally had his knee surgery! He’s back home and resting till at least the weekend. He goes back to the doctors next week for a follow up. ‘m super stoked that he finally got his knee fixed because it had been killing him for ages.
May is a crazy month for not only me but everyone else it seems. I will be dog sitting from Friday till the end of the month. Corey and I need to pack all our shit and be moved into our new suite by June 1. Our new suite still needs the drywall, priming and painting finished before the moving happens. Nicole’s b-day is going to rock down the buildings in Langley on Saturday and on Sunday is a non-stop mothers day event. The daycare had reached capacity almost every single day since …..February? It’s been crazy. Throw a smattering of weekly dog walking, dog training, and the million things one already needs to do around the house, and you have one full, crazy month!
Did I mention Nicole and I are doing hot yoga at a place just around the corner from our work? Holy smokes is it fun!
I ended up going to the first class by myself because I am a dork. I wore capris and runners. Big mistake! In hot yoga, you are placed in a hoooot room and sweat like you’re a fat man in a parka on the beach. Apart from arriving late, and having to run out into the parking lot barefoot because I forgot my water bottle, it was a really good first session. I think I lost half my body weight in sweat but boy I felt good after.  The last ten minutes of class it spent on you back, just letting yourself relax and meditate. Before everyone packs up we share a motivating little motto of the day. It’s really cool and everyone I’ve spoken to there are really nice. I’m loving it. Nicole and I did a few more classes since then. Freedom & Flow, and a stretch/relaxation session.  Sunday was a different story. We thought we signed up for another freedom and flow class but as we wait for our instructor, the music starts playing and its not the slow, soothing tunes as before. It’s fast and loud. This wasn’t freedom and flow. We accidently signed up for Hot Power Core. This shit was like bootcamp in the desert! I couldn’t keep up and had to give myself breaks throughout the hour long class. I look over and see the look on Nicole’s face. She went to the Luke Bryan concert the night before and this was definitely not the class for hangovers. Haha! After we worked our ass off we had to rush home and get cleaned up before our 11am appointment with our dog training client.
What a week!
Speaking of that dog training client, boy she’s so different compared to our first client, Buddy.
She never seems ready or focused. It’s like she just drops everything when we arrive but the phone rings, and she answers the door or fiddles with shit as we are trying to go through the lesson. She also never asks questions. It makes the session a little awkward and Nicole and I are grasping for things to say or show her to fill in the hour slot she’s reserved.
“So, do you have any questions?”
“Nope.”
“Where else have you tried this method?”
“Just here.”
“Did you have any concerns about this behavior?”
“No.”
“Was there anything that you wanted to know about _____?”
“Nah.”
Wtf. Oh well. Every client can’t be perfect but holy moly.

Anyway, I’m gonna go play some ball with all the pups I have coming in. See ya!
