Friday Catch Up

It's been a busy week!

I turned 25 on Sunday. It was a bittersweet birthday as Corey and I sold the Challenger. I never knew I could get so emotionally attached to a vehicle. I should have guessed though as I was pretty sad seeing my old Celica's fade into the distance when I bought 'new' cars. The Challenger may not be the fanciest car in the world but man it made me feel badass. We had wonderful memories made with that car. My first time to Alberta, learning to do donuts, taking it camping and getting some seriously weirdo stares, midnight trips to go get ice cream, road trips to Seattle. The list is nearly endless. When I worked in Delta, Corey and I would often take the same highway home and it made me smile spotting it in traffic. I rocked out in that car. Hell, I miss it a ton. But on to bigger and better things. We have our eyes peeled for a Jeep, something we can transport all our camping gear in, dogs and Corey's ever growing collection of fishing crap. While the Challenger was badass, it wasn't very practical. With us doing more outdoor adventures and the need of a bigger vehicle for Corey's line of work, a Jeep will probably be our best option.
To be honest, I teared up as we drove away with Blue sitting in the London Drugs parking lot with his new owner. The kid who bought it doesn't seem the brightest and I hope to the stars that he doesn't total it within a matter of days.

The rest of my birthday was good, however. I had breakfast with my family and aunt, spent time test driving a few vehicles and then I went to dinner with a bunch of friends.
Holy crap that was fun. I think 9 of us went in total and between two shots and two drinks, I admittedly got a bit giggly. It was great having a bunch of good friends over good food. Even Steve, who lives in Grand Prairie came right to the restaurant after a 13 hour drive to see his family.
Monday the girls took me to go see 50 Shades of Grey. We took silly pictures beforehand and then settled down at the edges of our seats loaded with popcorn and pop.
Laughing at each other had my face aching from giggling like idiots.

This week has been a little crazy work wise. It hasn't always been full to the brim with dogs but the ones that have been in have been fifty kinds of crazy. At least it's Friday now! I'm excited for this weekend. It's supposed to be beautiful.

Here's to adventure and rejuvenation!
