Wonderous Weekend

Apparently I pressed save and not publish yesterday (Monday)

It's Monday.

But that's ok. Getting out of bet this morning was a challenge. Corey and I alternated pressing snooze on our alarms for an hour before rolling out of bed. But, in all honesty, I'm excited for this week.

Friday I worked late and then had Nicole over for laundry, popcorn and a quick zip up to the mall.
Saturday I saw the boys off to fishing in the morning and spent much of it cleaning and finishing a few pages of the sci-fi comic I've been coloring. I busted my ass at my fitness class and went out to grab yet more cookie cutters from a cake place I enjoy shopping at (Don't tell Corey).
By noon I was at my parents, visiting the fam and playing with Zoey and Shyloh. Oh, did I forget to mention her? I think she'll have a blog post just for her sometime this week so I'll get on that.
Later Nicole picked me up and we had an adventerous Saturday. We walked along a lovely train in Glen Valley and discussed our zombie survival options. She showed me Chad Kroegers house. Wtf I had no idea. Who needs a house that big!?
We went back to her place and baked fish cookies for her bf before heading out to Beatniks. I think we were both having trouble deciding what to eat. That place is filled to the ceiling with amazing food. I love it! While we waited, we people watched and I think laughed too much for our own good.
At the end of the meal our waitress came up and told us that the bartender thought I was cute. BAHAH
That never happens. I left with a stupid smile on my face. Nicole and i made icing and set up our epic decorating station in front of the TV where we watched a movie she had been raving about. I had to stop icing because there was just so much to take in. The movie is called 'The Wild" and it covers the life of a young man who pretty much says fuck it and lives in the alaskan wilderness for 100 days. I don't think I've felt such conflicted feelings for a movie like that before. At the end I can pretty much say I was devastated. I expected some sad but not that horrific. The next morning I woke up thinking about it. What a horrible, lonely way to die. Nicole lent me the tag along book by the boy's sister so I'll be digging into that (Shortly after I finish my indulgence of 50 Shades)
Sunday I spent most of the day at my Grandma's acting as a care aid seeing as she was one short due to unfortunate family circumstances.
I made apple cinnamon crepes for breakfast and soup with honey butter cornbread for lunch and a wackload of cookies for my brother as when I got back home we ate dinner together and celebrated his birthday. I can't believe he's 22. Good lord, im a quarter century in a few weeks. =(
