Today I did something that probably wouldn’t have done before, especially on my own. While dog walking a different route through a neighborhood filled with brand spanken new million+ dollar homes, I saw one that I had been watching go up for the past month. As I walked past it, I noticed that only one person was standing in the cul-de-sac. No workers, no crew, no trucks were attending this building site. Hmm. I walked passed it and contemplated checking out the empty building site. It was still in its early stages. All plywood and support beams. It looked like the skeleton of a house before you get in all the drywall. My walk took me through a few other neighborhoods before I turned back around and led up back to the area where all the exceptionally massive and expensive houses are. I thought to myself, when will I be able to do this again? When will I ever get to say that I stood in a million dollar house?
I can’t say I marched up to the empty house with confidence. I kinda slunk around, pretending to let my dog pee before hiking up a mound of dirt to the back but hey I did it! I stepped inside what I can only assume to be the lower suit of the ridiculously huge house. The stars looked half done so I wasn’t confident in jogging up those so I explored the lower half and took a few pictures as proof before leaving.
Now, I’m not one that trespasses often and I can respect
that people probably wouldn’t appreciate their lots snooped in but I was
careful not to leave any trace of my presence other than what you see here.
People are working hard to build this house, who would I be if I was one of
those people that tagged it or wrecked it in any way.
Anyway it was fun and a mild sort of thrilling. Lame, I know
but I’m sure Corey will be proud. ;)
I would also like to announce that I have been doing these challenges for ten weeks now! Ten! That's exciting. Life stress almost made me want to quit this last week but screw that. I'm loving it more than ever. Let's do this!
