Experience Challenge #20 NIN Concert

Week 20, bitches! I wish this post was more creatively written but my brain is mush. a couple hours sleep after a rock concert and tons of running around on a busy Friday don't mix with this ginger.

Boy am I dragging my ass today. It’s currently 2:38pm and I want nothing more than to curl up and have a nap. I guess it’s all worth it though. Last night I got to experience a Nine Inch Nails concert for the first time ever. I have always heard good things about Trent Reznor’s show performance but I had no idea how much it would blow me away. I’ve always been a fan of NIN but yet I never got the opportunity experience it live. The closest NIN ever got in the past years was Victoria. Boo!
But now he finally came to Vancouver. Yes!  I have never gotten to see a concert in Roger's Area before either so it was a two for one deal!. Pretty sweet.
To be able to see him down there and sing his heart out along with thousands of us singing back was crazy. Needless to say, it was amazing. I have never witnessed such an amazing visual experience at a concert before. The stage was amazing and almost seemed out of this world with how everything moved. Mesh screens in front and behind the band where used to project images in addition to tons of floaty lights and crazy backdrops. It was amazing. AMAZING. I just want to say amazing over and over again. I feel like I can’t express my experience with it properly in word. It was just…. awesome. That said, Trent played a little too much from his newest album; it would have been nice to hear some older favorites but in all I can’t complain. It was astounding. At the end one of the songs they closed with was Trent’s version of Hurt. Wow. I was blown away.
Interesting concert to people watch at. Such varying degrees of personality. Old couples, young average looking people, guys dressed up in tux’s with chains and studs in them, a girl with dreds down to her knees. Interesting….yes, interesting.
