Today I emailed the city to ask about tree planting in the
spring. It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a while but is unavailable
during the winter months. Hopefully it’s not a convoluted process like much of
the city services are. Signing up for the bin keeper project earlier this year
wasn’t terrible but this tree program seems like it will require a lot of
jumping through hoops. Why? Just give me some saplings, a shovel and a location
and let me go to town! Maybe I’ll just go rogue and get my own baby trees to
plant if it seems like too painful of a process.
If you want your community to help, don’t make thinks
complicated over cost too much effort to even sign up.
