Large Steeped Tea- Two Milk, Two Sugar

On many an early morning before work I go through the Tim Hortons drive through with the dogs and order myself a tea to help me drag my ass through the early hours. In addition to that the dogs have learned that a Timmies run usually results in a tim bit snack from the staff that like to huddle at the window to see who I''m driving today. Highlight of my pup's morning, I'm sure.
Today I was going to pay it forward and pay for the woman behind me in line. I try to do this once every week or two just to brighten someone's day. It makes my day that much better to know that I may have made someone's morning. A few times I have had the vehicle catch up to me at the light and give me a simple wave or a hearty "Thank you!'. I love it. Today however, the woman behind me appeared to be ordering every item in the joint and I couldn't wait any longer and hold up the line for everyone else. Oh well, next time I guess.

The Hike

Yesterday a few friends and I went on a riverside hike with 7 dogs. It was a riot to say the least. Seeing 5 of them fly down the dyke after a ball is always hilarious to watch. I normally do dog walking for one hour a day five days a week for clients. Today's walk turned into a two hour adventure but I'm not complaining. I got to hang with good friends and the dogs had a blast. We even saw a heron over the river and an eagle fly overhead with branches for its nest that it was building on the far side of the dyke. Bad ass. I love eagles.
We hit a snag halfway through the walk when one of the dogs stepped on a nasty thorn. It took two of us to get it out because he was set on chomping off one of my fingers when I pulled it out. Afterword all was well. Thank goodness!
Zoey even went for a dive in the water. By the time we got back home everyone was dragging their heels and begging for a rest. Good times all around!
