Perma-Slow

So, I'll start off first by saying that I think that I'm a pretty safe driver. I move over to the left lane for faster cars to pass, I always wear my seatbelt and use my signals. All the typical safety stuff and common courtesy that one would hope to experience while out on the road. I will admit that I have a bit of a lead foot and I’m sure I make mistakes on the road, nobody’s perfect.
                                                                     BUT
One of the things that irks me the most is people who drive slower than the posted limit signs. Especially on one way streets or areas that you may not pass safely. I don’t have a super long commute to and from work but along the way I find the world’s most idiotic drivers. Why are they all in my home town? Why! I could talk about bad drivers forever but I made this post to highlight a specific kind of car I see doing this oh so slow driving. Tan four doors.

                                                                   The Culprit

Any tan car or even van for that matter seems to have an issue with getting up to speed. I have a theory that these cars must have some sort of governor that limits their speed to 40km. This has to be the reason why all these damn color cars are so bloody slow. That and perhaps this is a typical color car that older people like to drive. Still it makes no sense to me. If I see one up ahead I make sure I try to pass it before I hit the one way stretch of my commute. Nothing sets off the fiery redheaded temper in me like getting stuck behind a slow driver. I don’t get awful road rage when it happens luckily, I know how to crank the tunes and coast behind them as they take in the scenery. I’ve seen and been in vehicles with too many road ragers and I hate it. Not for me. Doesn’t help anything and it’s dangerous. Still, I sometimes feel a bit better if I make comments about their driving techniques from the safety of my own car.
